VEEDERSBURG, Ind. - Thomas H. Douglas, 62, of 415 Home Ave, died at 12.45 a.m. Sunday (Aug. 27, 1978) in the Veterans' Administration Hospital in Danville. Born Oct. 7, 1915, in Fountain County, he was the son of Homer L. and Ada Cox Douglas. He was a former employee of the town of Veedersburg and Fountain Foundry. In May of 1947 in Covington he married Iva Deane Brown, who survives. He was a veteran of World War II and served in Central Europe. He had been a member of the Charles Forrest American Legion Post 288 for 32 years; Veterans' of Foreign Wars Post of Covington and attended the Church of The Nazarene in Veedersburg. Survivors also include a brother, Roy L. Douglas of Hammond, Ind.; a sister, Mrs. Ola May Barnes of Conneaut, Ohio. He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Parham Funeral Home, with the Rev. Cloyd Kiger officiating. Burial will be in the National Cemetery at the Veterans' Administration Hospital in Danville. Friends will be received 5-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. - jlr
